Yay, it’s nearly time to go home for the holidays! Although it’s a fun and festive time of year where people are mostly in good spirits, it can be stressful moving back home for the holidays and seeing family members or friends that you haven’t seen in a while… But don’t worry, we’ve put together a Christmas Survival Guide, note down what to do and you’ll be just fine!
Don’t go on about uni

Of course you miss uni, having space to yourself and doing what you want to do. But be sensitive around others, your new lifestyle may have changed but theirs may not have.

Enjoy your home-cooked meals

Tell your family and friends you appreciate the meals they cook for you, and after having to cook for yourself for the last 3 months we’re sure this is true!

Go the extra mile

Why not organise a trip to the German Market? Or, bake cookies with the family? Show your family and friends you care.

Join in with the festivities and get into the festive spirit

Join in with the festivities whether that’s baking with mum or watching Christmas movies with siblings.

Don’t let anyone spoil your mood

As the saying goes, we can’t change our family and sometimes individuals may say frustrating things, but be the bigger person and don’t let anybody get you down.

What are you doing for Christmas this year? We’d love to hear. Feel free to comment below!
