Doreen Horsford, a recent WCYPF graduate, was nominated by Barnados for The Marsh Charitable Trust Volunteer of the Year award 2022, and has come second nationally.

Doreen said “My manager contacted me and asked me to attend a meeting about volunteers and wanted my input. It was a ploy to get me to the awards. I knew nothing about the nomination so it was a big surprise. They told me that without my input they would not have been able to run some of the projects and valued the work I did with children and families.”

Huge Congratulations to Doreen!
