The e-Learning team at Newman supports the use of technology in learning and teaching.
The e-Learning team comprises four people: Anna Greenhill (part time), Nazryn Nock (part time) Kris Dines and Bob Ridge-Stearn. We work as a team and have a shared email address – ElearningServiceDesk@newman.ac.uk
We support the use of various web-based systems used by tutors in their teaching. The most important of these is Moodle, which is our Virtual Learning Environment where you will find a Moodle course corresponding to every module you are enrolled on. Most of our work is with tutors but if you need help using technology, you can use the IT Help Forum which you will find on your Moodle Dashboard or you can email us – ElearningServiceDesk@newman.ac.uk We have produced a wide range of support materials including lots of videos to help students use our systems and you can find these on the Intranet after you enrol.
The following links take you to short introductory videos and help pages that explain the technologies we use at Newman.
We have a wealth of support materials including “How To” videos on the Newman Intranet. You just search for what you need.
We also have the IT Help Forum where you can ask questions about anything to do with using technology in your studies
