The IT Services department is here to make sure you’ve got access to all the IT infrastructure you need to pursue your studies at Newman. We’re responsible for the PCs around campus, making sure the right software is available, and that classrooms have the necessary audiovisual equipment.
If you’ve got an IT issue, we recommend logging in to our TOPdesk Self-Service Portal. Use the tiles to find an answer, or search our knowledge base. We’re adding to it all time, so keep checking back if you can’t find what you’re looking for the first time. We also have the IT Service Desk, based outside ST111, where you can get replacement ID cards, buy memory sticks, or top up your printer credits. The Service Desk is your first port of call for any IT issues or requests you may have if you can’t find the answer on our Self-Service Portal. Our Service Desk team are the best placed people to pass your request on to the relevant specialist within the IT Services department. It’s mainly staffed by Dil (Monday and Tuesday) and Sarah (Wednesday-Friday).
